For a behind-the-scenes look into the design of this year’s stunning 2017 Eden Beach Telethon Home by InVogue, read on.

Meet the Designer

This year’s Telethon Home will once again be designed by InVogue and overseen by our Design Manager, Brad McDonald. Leading the design of the Telethon Home for his 10th consecutive year, Brad wants to continue keeping the design locally focused and relevant to the Perth market.

“The way we design, live in and use homes in Perth is actually quite unique. There are even marked differences between Perth and the Eastern states. Some of the reasons for this include climate, building materials, cost of construction, and trade-based skills and strengths,” he said.

This means designing the home with the Perth climate in mind and using locally sourced building materials and products within the home. Everything from bench tops and laminates to floor coverings and ceramic tiles have been carefully considered by Brad and his team to ensure the best products WA has to offer are showcased in the home.

Currently under construction in the beautiful beachside estate of Eden Beach in Jindalee, the home is also being specifically designed to suit the spacious 286 sqm block. The four bedroom, two bathroom 2 storey home has been custom built to take full advantage of the breathtaking coastal views from the upper floor and features a contemporary cubist elevation to maximise the space available on the block.

What’s Included

Continuing with tradition, this year’s Telethon Home interior and exterior will feature some of the newest products available to the WA building market. Working with an amazing group of suppliers and contractors, the Telethon Home is shaping up to be the best yet.

Supplying the brickwork and paving in their 39th year as a major contributor to the Telethon Home, Midland Brick’s slimline Contempo Grey and double-height Augusta Limestone face bricks have been used in the home with stunning effect. Promenade Granite pavers by Midland Brick also create a striking feature in the front and rear landscaping design, which we cannot wait to share with you!

Inside the home you’ll spot the striking glass staircase thanks to Balustrading WA, featuring night sky black planar fittings and handrail. Balustrading WA generously supplied the balcony stirrup mount glass balustrade as well, topped off with night sky black stirrups and another sleek, black handrail.
